I’m happy to announce that I will be a speaker on the Blurring of Reality and Fiction in ARGs panel at ARGfest being held in Portland at the end of July.  I will be appearing alongside Mela Kocher (Swiss games researcher), Dave Tenenbaum (player and unFiction administrator), Brian Bricker (lead writer for the I’m Sorry experience), and potentially a remote video appearance from Christy Dena (cross media researcher and expert).  The speakers on this panel will address some controversial topics relating to ethics in game design, and will debate the merits of a variety of techniques used to create realistic and immersive experiences.  I’m excited to have been invited to participate in this multifaceted and spirited discussion involving the future of Alternate Reality Games.
