Privacy Policy & Sign Up
As Alternate Reality Games become more pervasive, and as players allow their lives to be used as the gaming platform, Remix Fiction has recognized the need for a detailed privacy policy. This living document will evolve over time to describe how Remix Fiction will handle private information obtained during gameplay, and it will also serve as a code of conduct for our fictional employees.
As a progressive internet company, Remix Fiction encourages the participation of fictionals in the creative game design process. We have always been an advocate for fair treatment of fictionals and discourage discrimination based on fictional condition. However, we also believe the players of our games should have control over the extent to which our games intrude into their lives. To that end, we will be constantly reviewing this policy and adding new guidelines as issues arise. We will start by defining our Facebook code of conduct:

- Fictionals have the right to accept or deny friend requests at their discretion.
- Fictionals will not send unsolicited friend requests.
- Fictionals will only add comments or like existing updates on user’s walls.
- Fictionals will not initiate Facebook chats with users unless the user gives consent.
- Fictionals will only send Facebook direct messages in response to received messages.
- Private contact information such as phone numbers, emails, and addresses available on Facebook will not be used without the user’s expressed consent.
- Private information accessible through a friendship with a fictional will not be harvested or stored on Remix Fiction systems (or elsewhere).
As always, we welcome your participation in this discussion as we refine and update these guidelines.
The Personalized Privacy form is designed to give Remix Fiction the ability to create personalized privacy policies. Players who participate by filling out this survey will be able to create boundaries between their real lives and their interaction with Remix Fiction games.
Thanks for your patience and we encourage your feedback and participation in defining our privacy policies.
-Steve
